A Marketer turned a potter
I infuse my handmade ceramics with my personal joy, magic, fun, and love.
My name is Olena, and I am the creative force behind olenaceramics. As a small-batch ceramic artist, I create unique pieces of pottery that are made with love and care.
Aside from my love of ceramics, I am also a proud mother of twin daughters and two cats, as well as a devoted wife. I come from a Ukrainian background, but I currently reside in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
I have worked in marketing for big corporations for around 12 years. During my job, I had to travel a lot and change countries, which I initially enjoyed. However, my real passion was pottery, which started as a hobby but has now become a lifelong obsession and a new way of life for me.
Creating pottery on the potter's wheel is a form of meditation for me. I draw my inspiration from the natural surroundings, including the various colours, shapes, and textures that I observe. I am particularly drawn to earthy hues, visual texture, and warm tones. I consider myself very fortunate to have the opportunity to pursue my passion, and I hope that my passion for ceramics is reflected in my work.
I enjoy creating both functional and decorative ceramics, and it brings me great joy to see my pottery being used on a daily basis.

I make all my ceramics by hand in a small studio located in my basement. All my products are microwave and dishwasher-safe.
I firmly believe that coffee tastes better when sipped from a handmade mug.
